By now you know my name is Darcell...I was born an artist and every since I can remember I've wanted to touch the entire Earth with my music. I really didn't know how I would get here but I have always been determined to do so. For me performing began very early in my life singing in church. This experience gave me the foundation for singing songs that have meaning with feeling. It also helped me to realize that if I would ever write songs that my songs would have to have content that would speak to the very essence of the human experience. I knew even as a child that I wanted my music to touch a part of every person in the world. One of the biggest moments in my life came when my grandmother sat me down and taught me how to play piano in about one hour. I was inspired and kept performing in school plays, talent shows, open mics and wherever I could be seen and heard. Somewhere along the way I began writing those songs and I've never stopped.

A few years ago I visited LA and decided to relocate from Dallas (my home town). This move proved to be a good one but I must admit when I was driving out I was so focused on what I was coming to find I didn't put much thought into what I was bringing. This mindset cost me many many unnecessary hardships such as living in my car for months at a time, taking showers at the gym and playing my piano at my storage.

I cried a thousand tears during these times, but I learned to stop looking for someone to put me on and discovered the art of putting myself on. So I made a decision to start my record label (Crayton Entertainment). Today I know that if I am going to make the difference that I have always envisioned I have to be in complete control of my destiny. I will not allow anything that is going on in this industry to taint my love message...my vision is clear.
